| Bristol Palin and Mark Ballas 'going ape' on Dancing with the Stars |
Going rogue may be in vogue, but sometimes you've just got to go ape. That's exactly what the "Dancing with the Stars" team of Bristol Palin and Mark Ballas did last week donning monkey costumes while clicking their heels to the Jive. The couple danced to "The Monkees" as it was TV theme week. The high risk costume move yielded high rewards as Team Ballin was called "safe" early in Tuesday's results show.

Sadly, everybody's favorite TV mom, Florence Henderson, was voted off much to Bristol's chagrin as she and Mama Brady had grown close during their time on show together. In response to Florence's early dismissal, Bristol's mom, Governor Sarah Palin tweeted this message:
"Florence Henderson... what a lovely lady! What a story! She reflects grace, beauty, energy, inspiration. America loves you, Florence".

Florence's dance partner was none other than Mark's dad, Corky Ballas; hence, the departure was bittersweet (see photo above).
Bristol and Mark were in the studio this week preparing a Tango treat for fans while gearing up for a rock n' roll marathon where they will compete against other "Dancing with the Stars" teams. Of the Tango, Mark writes in his USAToday journal that, "Bristol's picking it up better than I expected her to, and I had high expectations! It's similar to quick step, which was her best dance so far, so expect us to do really well on Monday".
Once again proving that she is her mother's "strong, kind-hearted, independent daughter", Bristol joined Mark, his mom Shirley, and actress Mariette Hartley at Walking for Change (see photo below), a healthy and positive community walk to raise funds and awareness for the American Foundation for Suicide Prevention. Please visit Bristol's Facebook page to learn more about this important project.

“We all had a great time doing this shoot, and she looked absolutely gorgeous!” said Static Cycle front man Jared Navarre of Bristol's debut music video performance.
"I think my role is like a Mother Nature role," she recently told etonline.com. "My eyebrows were all iced and my eyelashes were all iced."
