Demonstrating Joy: Oklahoma is OK with Palin
"And my speech and my preaching was not with enticing words of man's wisdom, but in demonstration of the Spirit and of power..." (I Corinthians 2:4)
Not one to just talk-the-talk but instead to walk-the-walk, Governor Sarah Palin and her husband, Todd, demonstrated their belief in God's abundant life by giving birth to a precious baby boy with special needs. Trig Paxson Van Palin made his world debut on April 18, 2008 at the Mat-Su Regional Medical Center in Palmer, Alaska.

"The moment he was born... my heart overflowed with joy... I felt a love I had a never felt before and a compassion I didn't even know was there... Trig is a miracle", Gov. Palin often says of her fifth child.
Speaking to more than 9,000 at the Women of Joy Conference in Oklahoma City on April 15, 2011, Governor Palin made it known in no uncertain terms that when it comes to Trig, "There are our standards of perfection, and then there is God's standard of perfection."

Governor Palin continued demonstrating God's goodness to those present with her encourarging faith-building words of wisdom. The following are excerpts from her message of exhortation:
"Your passions and interests were given to you for the service of others and our Creator.”
“In Matthew [Chapter] 5, Jesus taught something… ‘Bless those who are hurt and mourn’, and He said they would be comforted… they’d be blessed… when people insult… and make things up about you, or say false things because of His Name.”
“Jesus’ blessings are directly tied to getting out of self and risking our hearts in service to others for His sake. That is what our purpose is, and He didn’t promise it would be easy.”

“Our road… I know the Palin’s road, hasn’t been easy… if you were to ask people like my parents or your parents if their most important growing years were their easiest years, they would tell you ‘no’, because with trial and struggle comes significance and the power to live with purpose.”
“My prayer for all of you through this conference, starting tonight, is that this year you’ll really hone in on seeking opportunities to focus on taking the steps forward into what God’s prepared for you… to grow more tender to Jesus [and] to really listen to his voice… forgo any role of victim to pursue the role of visionary.”
“You’ve got to learn to deal with unnecessary criticism because the critics will always be there.”
Dance, Sarah, Dance!
“The bottom line, gals, is to be a ‘woman of joy’, you might as well dance.”

Todd Palin: Traits of a Champion
September 6th Birthday Greetings to Todd Mitchell Palin!
Traits of a Champion
We all know those who have the attitude that whatever happens, happens. They just go through the daily motions of life, sometimes winning and sometimes losing. Not Todd Palin. The four-time Iron Dog champion, commercial fisherman, husband of Governor Sarah Palin, dad to Track, Bristol, Willow, Piper, and Trig, and "Pap-paw" to Tripp and Kyla, knows that life is really what a person makes of it. Todd is proof positive that to be a champion and win the game of life, we must do something to make it happen. Success doesn’t just “fall” on us. We have to act like champions, and that starts by thinking and acting like winners.
Todd looks like a champion. He has confidence. He believes in himself, and as a man of Christian faith, he has the ability to tap into God's abilities.
Todd acts like a champion. No matter what pundits and polls may say about his family, he still acts like a winner knowing that integrity and faith in God will turn around adversity.
Todd stays in shape like a champion. No one said it better than his wife when ridiculously questioned as to whether or not she and her "First Dude" were getting a divorce: "Divorce Todd? Have you seen Todd?"
Todd examines his friendships like a champion. We are a reflection of our friendships. Todd is loyal to his family and friends as they build each other up, not tear one another down.
Todd never quits, just like a champion. Todd knows that as long as he keeps getting up, he's still in the game. Remember when he broke his arm on the final leg of an Iron Dog race but still finished first? That's the heart of a champion!
If Todd had a motto, I bet it would be something like, "I cannot be defeated, and I will not quit." That is his attitude; he never gives up. No matter how the lamestream media misrepresents his family, or whether or not he had a good salmon run on Bristol Bay, he continues to stand in faith. Faith in his God. Faith in his family. Faith in his country.
Todd Palin. A champion in every situation!
“In due time we will reap, if we faint not." Galations 6:9"The man of integrity walks securely…” Proverbs 10:19

Happy Passover from Governor Palin
"Israel is absolutely beautiful and it is overwhelming to see and touch the cornerstone of our faith and I am so grateful to get to be here... I'm very thankful to know that the Israeli and American link will grow in strength as we seek peace along with you." - Governor Palin upon her first visit to Israel.

Governor Palin's thoughts on Passover as transcribed from her Facebook page:
Tonight is Passover, the Jewish people’s celebration of their deliverance from bondage and their Exodus to the Land of Israel. Passover contains poignant spiritual and historical meaning for Jews, but it also reminds all of us of mankind’s universal aspiration to be free from bondage and oppression. Today, in the same region where the story of Exodus took place, Arabs suffering under despotic regimes are seeking their own freedom and self-determination. As Jews in Israel, the Middle East’s only liberal democracy, gather for Passover, we hope for the spread of freedom and peace throughout the region. On this Passover holiday, our family sends our best wishes to the Jewish community. Chag kasher V'Sameach. Happy Passover. And next year in Jerusalem.
